U.S. Postal ServiceĀ® Releases 2016 Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Grab your pen and get ready to mark your calendar, the U.S Postal Service® has released its holiday shipping deadlines.  In addition to the already announced FedEx® and UPS® rates, you can finally put a cap on the major holiday shipping deadlines you need to know. 

You may be thinking “It’s not even Halloween yet”, but ensuring your customers receive their holiday purchases on time requires proper planning. And with the peak retail season only a few weeks away, now is the time to get your ducks in a row.

Not to worry, we’ve got an easy to follow holiday shipping planning timeline to help you jumpstart your shipping plans.

 

But first, here are the domestic, international and military shipping deadlines:

December 15 – USPS Retail Ground
Ground service for less-than urgent deliveries and oversized packages.

December 20 – First-Class Mail 
Service for standard-sized, single-piece envelopes and small packages weighing up to 13 ounces with delivery in 3 business days or less.

December 21 – Priority Mail
Domestic service in 1, 2 or 3 business days based on where the package is mailed and where it’s being sent, variety of flat-rate options.

December 23 – Priority Mail Express
Fastest domestic service, guaranteed overnight scheduled delivery to most locations.
